Stimulating Acupuncture Stops Nausea

Acupuncture Associates

A review of more than 3,300 cases found acupuncture in the wrist relieved vomiting and nausea in patients after surgery. Stimulating the pericardium, or P6, acupuncture point on the wrist reduces the nausea that affects about 80 percent of the people who have had anesthetics.

In fact, acupuncture--the process of inserting fine needles into the body at various points--was found to be just as effective as routine medications in various trials.
